Accommodations
Before booking, please consider whether you’re looking for a beach holiday or a nature-based retreat.
From the nearest small main road, it’s a 1.6 km walk to the house. Unless you’re driving a 4x4, a regular car won’t make it up the forest path. That means: apart from arrival and departure, you’ll be walking – about 20–25 minutes through pure nature.
This place requires stepping out of your comfort zone. If you’re used to convenience, luxury, or being a couch potato – this might not be the right fit.
We live completely off the grid.
At night you’ll hear birds and crickets. When it rains, the forest comes alive – with wind, frogs, and nothing else.
If you love Grizzly Adams, Into the Wild, or Thoreau – you’ll feel at home here.
If your heart beats for sun, beach, WiFi and shopping, you’re probably better off looking for accommodations in the south of the island.
